Director of Investments
Lisa serves as Director of Investments at Strategic Financial Group, combining over 20 years as an economist, analyst, and consultant in international finance. She uses these skills when conducting indepth portfolio reviews and navigating through market and geopolitical developments. As part of Strategic Financial, Lisa brings an open, collaborative style - creating personally tailored investment portfolios that integrate client values. Lisa's understanding of opportunities in international and fixed income markets and her focus on ensuring diversification offers a distinct value-add for individuals, small businesses, and qualified investors. She helps the firm organize events to share opportunities, educate, and highlight useful strategies for our clients and network.
Ms. Kaess is licensed as a financial advisor with StoneX Investment Advisors Inc., and as a registered representative with StoneX Securities Inc. (Series 7, 66). Both firms are subsidiaries of StoneX Group Inc. Lisa serves as Co-President of the Board of Directors of the Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center in Rockland County, NY; she also founded Feminomics®, which focuses on money basics and related themes for women.
Prior to joining Strategic Financial, Lisa consulted for the Institute of International Finance and a variety of corporate, governmental, and professional groups. She also spent over a decade with Geoffrey Bell & Company, where she advised sovereign, corporate, and institutional clients. Ms. Kaess has been quoted in national media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and US News & World Report; her opinion articles have appeared in USA Today, The Hill, The Journal News, among others. A graduate of Reed College, she earned Master of Science degrees at the London School of Economics and the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
